Zephyr 750 Flat-Rate Motorcycle Inspection

 

 
The Sanitora isn’t quite ready for easy loading yet, and since there’s only one bike, I’m riding it in under its own power.
When you ride most bikes, you think, “It’d be so much nicer if we could just tweak this a little.”
Steering stem bearings are shot and stiff.
Throttle and clutch cables are stiff with too much play.
Control operation is poor and positioning is too high or too low.
Push and pull are heavy.
Carburettor sync is off and throttle response is sluggish.
I could go on forever, but if we just do a bit more work, you’d think, “Wow, this is so much easier to ride now.”
The weather’s nice but the wind is brutal.
Sigh.
Time to grab some lunch.
