I thought it would be quick, but it ended up taking quite a bit of time.
It really did take a while.
Now then,
I worked the Newtech grease into the steering bearings thoroughly until it was well coated,
but the stem lower seal on this Kawasaki just isn’t great.
It doesn’t fit quite right, so there’s a big difference between where it contacts and where it doesn’t,
and it inevitably interferes with the steering operation.
I sanded the contact points and reassembled, sanded and reassembled,
and now—smooth as silk!
