It’s raining~
Even on a day like this, I’m riding my bicycle…
I left it at the raincoat shop and it got a bit wet.
Well then,
Here’s the GSF1200 ☆ Front maintenance & rear maintenance.
Even just pushing it by hand, I can feel something off with the front.
When I lift it and work the suspension, it’s very stiff and gets stuck in the middle.
When I took it apart, the races weren’t that badly worn.
The main causes are “insufficient lubricant” and “lubricant that’s dried up.”
And then there’s “poor adjustment.” Let’s not worry about age-related wear for now.
The adjustment is finicky if you want to call it finicky, or loose if you want to call it loose.
The goal is “smooth operation with minimal play.”
Though there shouldn’t be enough play to feel it…
When I was about to change the fork oil, I had the junk shop pick it up,
and they took the stainless steel pan I’d left outside too.
The fork oil is terribly dirty and smelly ☆ pshhh
The front end should feel much lighter now.
