This is a bike we’ve done oil-cooled maintenance on once before. Let’s see what condition it’s in ~
The damper wasn’t worn much at all ★ It was so solid we had to pull hard to get it out ~
So the grease application strategy really does work ★
Actually, the area where this damper sits is pretty worn . . . It must be vibrating quite a bit ~
I’m not sure if gravel got into the damper grooves and turned it into a natural sandblaster or what
But when we pulled it out this time, the case was smooth, so all good!
This is a spot we didn’t replace in the previous oil-cooled maintenance ★
