The GENTOS ORBITER ORX-500H arrived this morning,
so I can finally get back to my bike commute!
It does feel a bit cheaper than expected, but that’s charming.
Multiple modes are selectable: “high, medium, low, and flashing SOS.”
On high mode, it’s as bright and white as the latest moped-class lights.
With this, I can safely illuminate intersections without traffic lights and sharp corners.
It even has focus control so you can narrow the beam for spot illumination.
The battery is a 4.8V 2200mAh nickel-metal hydride battery, and the whole thing weighs 365 grams.
I’m hoping it lasts for years to come.
