So I had some time, and instead of working on repairs, I organized the workshop.
Originally these were hanger hooks, so the dowels are short.
These are 4.9 to 5.1 mm diameter dowels.
Because of the plating, they’re all scattered around, and matching them up one by one is a hassle.
So I tried drilling a 5 mm hole in a 12.5 mm diameter Delrin rod I had on hand—how about that?
Perfect!
It’s flawless! The Delrin slides right out smoothly.
I can change the pitch, and the length is totally flexible.
I picked up 2 meters of it earlier, so I’ll make more when I get another chance.
The shop took another step forward.
