Kiyoshi happened to be around, so we adjusted the headlight beam.
It was pretty far off.
That said, anyone who helped adjust it at the time will understand, but…
The beam moves quite a bit depending on where you sit and your weight, so you could say it’s ambiguous.
The standard is the tester at the inspection center, but whether that’s always correct is unclear.
Even lights we’ve adjusted at a tester shop show discrepancies of a few centimeters when checked at the inspection center.
Of course they’re within the passing range, but I can’t say for certain that I was in the same position when I went through the line.
Ultimately, as long as it’s within the passing range, we’re good!
The K6 has HEX adjustment bolts, so don’t forget! (note to self)

CO is at 2.5% and HC is kept below 500 PPM, so we’ve got plenty of margin.
Without a tester machine, passing the current inspection has become quite a hassle.
