Well,
here’s another mysterious scooter project.
It doesn’t seem useful for much of anything,
but a dim headlight scares this old guy!
I filed down the H4 tabs to disassemble it,
cracked the bulb in a plastic bag to get the internals out,
and turned the inner diameter on a lathe to fit the H4 outer diameter perfectly.
Since it’s plastic, it got all chewed up and didn’t cut cleanly ★
Well, close enough…
I press-fit it in and glued it lightly, and
it turned out looking pretty handsome! ★
After that, I spent nearly two hours wiring it up and used two relays,
and finished the installation without modifying the main harness.
Wow!! It looks super bright to the eye!
But you can’t trust appearances, so… off to the tester.
Please, let the candlepower be up!
It came in at 17,500 cd—that’s inspection-passing level!
I added a light switch on the right side and it’s done ★
It was probably from a Lead 90 or something like that…
It looks handsome with that stock-style vibe.
My prediction is the light will melt eventually!
Power consumption check is essential.
