The parts arrived!
The magnet was so strong it was a real pain to get the cover off
It’s actually pretty clean! ★
Or so I thought, but sure enough, carbon buildup has appeared.
I bought one for this very reason, but I still only have that beat-up pencil tester
So every now and then…
The new one shows resistance that stays rock solid
but the old one spiked way up in one spot and then dropped, totally unstable.
I peeled off the gasket and swapped out the regulator/rectifier too
put the cover back on, replaced the O-rings on the oil filler and drain…
and the tappet cap-style drain cracked. So I had to stop.
It cracks every so often, so after a few times it becomes a replacement part.
Next up, front and rear pads… but I can’t get the rear caliper off at all.

The parking brake action is sluggish, so I ended up checking the piston
and the bolts too
and that was it.

You shouldn’t mess with scooters like this! ★
Waiting on the drain cap! On hold for now.
