This is about a lens I purchased on July 22, 2012 (Sunday).
After trying out its successor, the EF8-15mm F4L Fisheye USM
the AF DX Fisheye-Nikkor 10.5mm f/2.8G ED is saying goodbye
It was an extremely interesting and wonderful lens at a reasonable price.
Farewell!
Since it’s a DX lens, the autofocus is slower compared to FX, making a “whirr whirr” sound,
but autofocus really is great—there’s a huge difference between having it and not having it.
The EF8-15mm F4L Fisheye USM, on the other hand, is manual focus,
so it’s a shame I can’t just raise my hand and snap, or crouch down and snap.
Cameras and lenses sure are fast! ★
