My sense of what day it is seems completely off lately~
Doesn’t feel like Saturday at all★
The customer said the handlebar was rattling, so I checked it★
The plate-type damper on the bottom is also worn down, and
the damper pressed into the handlebar

When I pushed it with my finger, it came right out…
So it probably came out when the handlebar was lifted?
It has a flange, so it barely stayed in place
By the way, this damper is discontinued and no longer available.
It looked easy to remove, but…
Only the outer ring remains, and it’s pressed in flush against the end face,
so removal is a real pain★
If I don’t secure it properly before removing it,
I could bend the handlebar, and since it’s been buffed, I need to be extremely careful…
I’ve never seen a similar damper with an outer diameter of 20mm and M10 fastening.
There’s an M8 version, but I’ve had failures with it before, so that’s out.
So I’ll fire up our shop’s pride and joy—the little lathe—and make a press-fit collar.
Press it in with a little pop and we’re done★
Now it floats on just the damper below the handlebar.
