Oil-cooled Negative Pressure BST Carburettor Maintenance (+) OH
This maintenance service disassembles the BST four-carb unit, then cleans, inspects, and reassembles it.
Given the age of these machines, certain parts that cannot be replaced without complete disassembly are starting to wear out.
By disassembling the unit, we can clean, inspect, and lubricate fine details that would otherwise be inaccessible.
Parts replaced in this maintenance menu
We adjust fuel level both by “float level” and by “visual inspection of actual fuel level.”
We also carefully synchronize the carburetors.
Main maintenance tasks
1) Disassemble, clean, and inspect all four carbs individually
2) Lubricate and replace parts that require disassembly
Starter plunger, fuel jet needle seat seal, butterfly shaft, and other components are replaced and lubricated
3) All fastening bolts are replaced with new ones
4) All basic O-rings and seals are replaced with new ones
5) Dual-check fuel level adjustment: float level and actual fuel level
6) Carburettor synchronization and pilot screw adjustment
