It’s for threading the throttle cable through.
Unfortunately, the throttle KIT cable we’re swapping in won’t fit through it…
Waste not, want not—that’s the Japanese way.
We’ll carve a groove thinner than the cable’s outer diameter and reuse it.
Spread it open, snap it in, and it holds tension nicely.
Is this a cultural difference?
The cable won’t fit, so we cut off the ferrule
and remove the adjustment section, then insert it into the carb side.
We machine a new ferrule from brass. It’s tedious work…
Perfect! ★ Since it’s a custom part, we’ll have to machine it again when we replace it…
This one’s wearing pretty strangely, so it definitely needs replacing!
It kind of reminds me of the SRX part… what do you think?
