I wonder why? The shift pedal was contacting the engine cover, so I offset it by 2 mm.
With it pressed in place, I’ve secured about this much clearance.
Quite a tight angle—the Sportster’s layout just doesn’t allow for any other way.
The shift-side bar might be easier if it were a bit longer, maybe.
Removed the muffler and somehow managed to make it work…
The hose and switch needed to be sourced separately, and it looked a bit bomber-style, so here I’m going with the secret weapon: pure stock modification.
Unfamiliar models really are a handful…
