GSF1200 Flat-Rate Motorcycle Inspection

 

 
We completed the inspection on a GSF1200 this morning.
The owner mentioned that the carburetors seemed to be out of sync.
 
The exhaust sound was definitely uneven—you could really hear it.
 
It was making a rough “vroom” sound like this.
 
The license plate had developed cracks, so we installed a new license plate bracket we’d made before to prevent further damage.
It’s on the house, so please forgive us for not doing any weight reduction or surface finishing.
 
It was pretty dirty, so we cleaned it and primed it.
 
We replaced some of the bolts in this area too.
For our regular customers, we don’t always do it, but we sometimes throw in some complimentary repairs.
When I think about it—whether we set something aside or a problem pops up later, I’m the one who has to fix it anyway—so getting the work done ahead of time
makes things easier for both of us down the road.
