Inspection day means an early start and I’m a bit drowsy. The outside temperature is rising quite a bit today, so it’s warm out there.
Both safety and reliability—passed on the first try, so I’m relieved.
Both bikes completed without any issues. Lately, with aftermarket wheels, the “JWL” marking is also being checked. (One bike had a Marque 5R.)
So? We checked on aftermarket wheels that were manufactured before JWL was established.
Strictly speaking, it might be out? If it’s possible to link it back to the time of installation, there’s a chance it could be OK, but it comes down to the inspector’s judgment…
There really are so many rules that exist and don’t exist, loopholes in the law.
