We received a request to install the AS Wotani Full Power KIT on this Bandit 1200 K6 and handle the wiring.
The layout under the tank on the Bandit 1200 is extremely tight, to say the least.
Carburettor synchronization is notoriously the most tedious job on the Bandit 1200.
We cleanly relocated the popular boost KIT and made sure there’s room to install the MSA later as planned.
Hmm? Hmm? We spent tens of minutes puzzling over the installation.
Good serviceability, clean appearance, and lightweight!
We avoided using the included blue generic bracket as much as possible to keep the look clean.
We arranged it for good workability on synchronization and spark plug changes, and we wanted to avoid bolt and nut fastening that would hurt serviceability.
Due to the plug cord layout, we ended up fixing it in a downward-sloping orientation.
We tack-welded it a bit and then worked on the back side.
We had to stick the tungsten out quite a bit to get a weld, and the gas lens really saved us…
We modified the existing bracket and finished it off cleanly.
It looks simple when you see it, but it took about two hours from concept to completion…
