Brake caliper maintenance. If the piston condition is good, we’ll reuse it.
Since we maintain it regularly, the dirt is pretty light, but this cast caliper is tough to clean thoroughly.
The rear was serviced before, so we’re good there.
The dirt comes off quickly and it dries fast, so using a small amount of hot water and working at it steadily is the way to go.
You can really see how effective the anodizing is at preventing corrosion.
The piston condition is good, so we’ll go ahead and reuse this one.
