We rounded it off, filed it down, welded a nut to the back, and finished it. Please forgive us if the nut center is slightly off.
We’re also replacing the damper. There are hardly any dampers where the rubber or elastomer is directly crushed and fixed in place.
When fastening with bolts, step bolts or sleeves and collars bottom out before the fastening is complete, so always insert sleeves or similar spacers.
Depending on the location, plastic parts will also suffer less damage when treated this way.
