SUNSTAR disc and SSITO carrier support installation.
The SUNSTAR disc has the cotter pins reversed from the original, sitting flat. The distance from the support is good, giving us plenty of clearance.
Solid design.
On the Z, the support only gains about 10mm of thickness, so it might flex more easily.
AP2696 aftermarket pads have contact surfaces that vary—some wide, some narrow—so choose based on your rotor.
This time I matched the AP original size.
Just to be safe, I checked the mounting dimensions.
I just realized the Z front is asymmetrical left to right.
I also ground down the rusty plate and gave it a coat of spray.
It came out looking really nice and clean. I’m glad we didn’t run into any unexpected issues.
