The ideal is smooth input and quick return. Keeping the controls smooth lets you focus on riding, and that’s the best condition.
We clean the throttle and apply a light coat of engine oil. We also apply grease to the barrel section.
It’s also important to check where the throttle sleeve cable rubs and apply lubrication.
The sidestand is essential every time you get on and off the bike. When it moves smoothly and easily, it feels fantastic. If it’s rusty and unlubricated, both the frame and stand wear down, and it ends up in sad shape.
