It looks like fuel is seeping from around the tank mount bracket weld area. There’s a good chance it will get worse in the not-too-distant future.
I don’t have the skill to cleanly peel off this plate and reweld it. Swapping in a used tank and repainting might be the more practical option. I cleaned it, applied gasoline-resistant semi-cured liquid gasket, let it air dry for a day.
I’ve applied aluminum tape and I’m monitoring for seepage. I really hope it doesn’t leak…please.
