As always, everything is running behind schedule—way behind!
Let’s take our time and work through it steadily.
First up: a fork that’s unusually stiff. The fork oil is thick and gooey, combined with stiff springs. Let’s get it back to standard.
Quite viscous stuff.
We’re going to blacken the bottom case, so we’ll clean it up first before sending it out.
We’ll polish the cap too.
Taking apart the master cylinder once in a while really improves the feel.
The rear caliper turned out to be in surprisingly good condition. The seals are original, so if they’ve been in service for a while, replacing them wouldn’t hurt.
We’ll polish and prep it.
While we’re at it, we polished everything that could be cleaned up.
We want the finish to really pop!
