A Sunstar rear brake complete maintenance KIT and a pin to improve the convenience of seat removal and installation.

First, remove it for cleaning and inspection

It’s not as corroded as you’d expect for its age.

Oh, it’s anodized. I think I checked this before…

The condition is quite good. Let’s maintain it with a piston and seal KIT.
The caliper seals still have some elasticity when I touch them, but they won’t match the feel of new ones that have seated in.

The master cup is showing wear too.

We’ll polish the areas that can be cleaned up.

Polishing plus water jet cleaning makes it shine.

Inspection is always a must.

The brake disk is trusted Sunstar.

In the previous work we painted over the dirty spots. Now that we’ve polished it, it’s truly beautiful.

Now the rear brake is completely done.
Menu contents ↓

Since they said it’s okay even if the frame threads get damaged, we’ll go ahead and do it.
With this, can you open and close the seat with one push? I’m always nervous about it. Worried it’ll become junk…

The D-ring doesn’t hit the foot, so we didn’t do a shortening mod—too risky. All done!
