These are the items covered.
Our maintenance service consists of basic disassembly, inspection, cleaning, and lubrication. Unlike external visual inspection or spray lubricant work, we can identify areas that cannot be discovered without disassembly on newly purchased used bikes and propose them as future maintenance points.

Brake and clutch levers

Old grease hardens and reduces operation. Once cleaned and re-lubricated, we can also check for wear on the shaft, bushings, and boots.
These controls are constantly touched. When they move smoothly and are clean inside, it feels really nice.

Shift and brake pedals

Like the levers, these are important parts you touch constantly. Even brand-new factory bikes often have little to no lubrication. Bikes with crash history may have bent bolts or shafts causing stiff operation. Disassembly reveals the condition and restores smooth operation.

Throttle (throttle area)

After disassembling and cleaning the throttle sleeve, we apply minimal rust-preventive oil to the handlebar side and reassemble. Dirt or rust buildup and throttle damage or deformation become easier to judge when isolated.

Throttle and clutch cables

Inspecting them individually lets us visually spot twists or kinks that could lead to breakage.
If there are no issues, we lubricate them for smooth operation.

Sidestand

The sidestand is essential every time you get on and off. When it deploys and retracts smoothly, it’s incredibly convenient and satisfying.

Depending on the condition, we lightly coat it for rust prevention and improved appearance.

Wheel bearings (front and rear)

We remove the wheels and check bearing operation.
If the distance collar seating is poor, we adjust bearing position. We reassemble in a smooth, load-free state.
Bearing failure is rare nowadays, but for optimal smoothness, replacement every 20,000–30,000 kilometers is worth considering.

Steering stem operation inspection and adjustment

We basically do not disassemble. We lift the front, slowly move it side to side, and check for smooth operation, any irregularities around center, and play.

If the condition is poor, we recommend “Front maintenance + SKF&Newtech fork oil overhaul……70,000 yen”.

Chain cleaning, alignment adjustment, and lubrication; wheel damper inspection

We thoroughly wipe the chain and clean it along with the rear sprocket.
During cleaning, we check for chain stretch variation, link kinks, and normal rear sprocket wear. We lubricate and adjust by pivot-to-axle length. We also check hub damper condition by shaking the sprocket.

If the condition is poor, we recommend “D.I.D ZVM-X&Sunstar service kit +……53,800 yen”.

Axle shaft cleaning, inspection, and rust prevention

We check for bending and runout on the front and rear axle shafts. This is an area you might not notice after a crash (or there may be accident history). Checking it reduces one source of worry.

Depending on the condition, we may coat it for rust prevention.

Front fork cleaning and lubrication

We lift the dust seal and lubricate and clean below the steering stem.
Applying fork oil and touching the inner tube directly lets us spot rust. Rust prevention and operation improve.

We spray rust-preventive oil between the top bridge and under-bracket and wipe it down. This protects rust-prone areas.

Speedometer cable lubrication

We remove the speedometer cable, wipe it, re-lubricate, and reinstall. While cable breakage is rare, this improves longevity.

We disassemble and re-lubricate the speed gear where possible.

Brake caliper cleaning, piston lubrication, and inspection; pad pin cleaning, inspection, and lubrication

We remove the brake caliper and steam-clean it. Then we apply metal rubber to check piston retraction and extension.
If rust is severe or operation is poor, we recommend brake caliper overhaul maintenance……47,300 yen (4-piston) or 52,000 yen (6-piston).

After cleaning, we spray rust-preventive oil and wipe. Dirt resists buildup and rust prevention improves.

Disc rotor cleaning and thickness measurement

We brush-clean each hole in the disc rotor. Then we degrease thoroughly with brake cleaner. Clogged dust is also removed.
If thickness or step wear is severe, we recommend rear disc and pad replacement.
We also offer the Sunstar rear brake complete maintenance kit……56,200 yen.

Fluid exchange and diaphragm inspection

We exchange clutch and front and rear brake fluid.
We use “Golden Cruiser DOT4,” the fluid known for metal rubber. High-response, heat-resistant racing fluid is good, but for street use we choose and recommend fluid with durability and stable performance.

Carburettor synchronization and pilot screw adjustment

Synchronization is essential for multi-cylinder engines. Adjusting and matching them produces stable idling. Since this drifts with riding, periodic checks improve feel.

(Note) For FI (fuel injection) motorcycles, synchronization is basically not performed. If desired, an additional fee and manual are required. (Some models cannot be serviced.)

Spark plug inspection (inspection only when plugs are replaced)

We check easily accessible plugs. Since they are not expensive, inspection equals replacement here.
(Note) For recent motorcycles requiring air cleaner box removal, an additional charge of 12,000 yen is required. Simultaneous replacement is recommended.

Air cleaner inspection and cleaning (inspection only when air cleaner is replaced; please notify us in advance if it is a washable type)

We wash washable types with detergent. Replaceable types are replaced as needed. Even if appearance is clean, replacement based on mileage and age is worth considering.

Coolant exchange and reservoir tank replacement

This should be replaced every two years. Coolant rises near 100 degrees Celsius and cycles back to ambient temperature—harsh conditions. It is very important.

We also replace the radiator cap as needed.

Wako’s Fuel 1 treatment (suppresses fuel oxidation degradation and fuel tank corrosion.)

Even if the bike sits for a long time, this delays gum formation and helps prevent fuel tank corrosion.

Battery charging and output voltage inspection; contact cleaner applied to terminals; lighting inspection

We recommend battery brands based on the situation. Please consult us about longevity, weight, cost, and other factors.

Removing and disassembling parts for visual inspection makes future maintenance planning easier. Recommendations become clearer.

This inspection and maintenance service is recommended when the vehicle’s condition is unknown.
