We’ve brought in a tire changer at the shop—just a little one, though.
It’s convenient, no question. When you’re working on all kinds of different bikes, having the right equipment is essential.
We replaced the air valve with a TR412.
After assembly, we carefully check that there’s no vibration. If remounting the bead fixes it, that’s the way to go. Even a one percent improvement in ride quality is worth it.
Engine oil is Newtech NC50 10W-50 & and oil filter.
It’s hard to see in the photo, but the old oil was pretty tired.
The customer wanted the rear switch and spring replaced.
They were rusty, so we polished and repainted them to bring them back to life. Taking care of each little detail like this is rewarding too.
