That’s the request.
The leak changed our plans, so we switched to carburettor maintenance instead.
It’s in relatively good condition, which is reassuring.
When rust builds up this much, it becomes quite troublesome. The float valve clogs easily and wears quickly. The light wet-blasting condition continuously damages the float valve.
There’s evidence of water accumulation, and the jets are heavily corroded. *Replacement required.
Disassembling this carburettor is somewhat labor-intensive. To remove the shaft, you have to take off either the throttle pulley or the other acceleration pump pulley.
It’s an older flat-valve forced-open design, so there are many parts.
There are plenty of coil springs used throughout, so we’re proceeding carefully and cautiously.
