The fastening bolts sometimes have different lengths below the head. Usually they should be the same when the bolt is floating (loose). There are cases where they’re mixed or separated and some are longer, so you have to be careful not to mix them up.
Like the drive chain, both too tight and too loose are not good. (Too tight is usually the problem.) Getting it just right—that’s the hardest part.
The measured values weren’t far off either. Adjusted to specification.
Gently close the cover and the valve adjustment is complete.
