Lately, I find myself enjoying the test ride bikes? That’s the mood I’m in.
I feel a bit hesitant about riding my own bike for personal use… Do you ever get that weird sense of guilt?
Maybe I’m overthinking it.
Finally got it in the shop once the weather cleared up!
The parts should all be here… I want to keep things moving smoothly.
It’s been a while since I took the fairings off, and it shows…

This is pretty much a 100% reliable set. A 1/2 breaker bar (it’s a big ratchet).
I did strip one, but it wasn’t too much of a struggle.
It’s just one bolt, but being able to remove it smoothly saves time.
That’s why good tools are essential.
Yes! Clean it up and then the intake manifold… I forgot to order #3, so that’s on hold for now.
It’s been a while, and this carburettor is nicely corroded and looking tired.
I took it for a test ride before disassembly, and… the low-end was pretty rough.
I always think customers are amazing!
It’s in pretty rough shape. At this level, I think the appearance can still be brought back.
No polishing needed this time, so I just did a quick shine on the visible parts of #1 and #4.
I also lightly cleaned up the inside and #2 and #3.

Caliper cleaning and pad replacement.
The pads are RK sintered metal. The balance of price and performance is fantastic.
The rear caliper piston extends, but human power can’t push it back in, which means it drags.
This needs to be addressed.
We’re replacing the clutch master with a Nissin radial. The fluid is… really… in bad shape.
The included bracket won’t work, so I made a custom one as part of our service. It’s titanium.
