It evolved into mo.unit blue quite a while back, and now you can control all sorts of things from your smartphone.
Whether it’s necessary or not… I still have one mo-Unit V.2 from the discontinued lineup.

This mo.unit is a device that manages power distribution.
The concept is incredibly simple, and when you use it to lay out your wiring, the amount of cabling you need drops dramatically.
If there’s a wiring problem, this mo.unit cuts power and keeps an error light on until the issue is resolved—it’s a brilliant device that alerts you to risk.
The problem is that it’s not waterproof. How much water exposure it can handle is unclear.
Of course, nobody intentionally gets it wet, but that risk still exists.
Since it’s an electrical component, durability is questionable too.
It’s an incredibly impressive item, but when you consider those risks, the factory harness comes out ahead.
For people with older bikes whose harnesses are discontinued and hard to find, using this thing could be a good option.
Though right now, it’s difficult to get worldwide.
