How much does it lean when on the side stand?
Standing too upright is scary, and I thought it was leaning too much.
If it’s too long, we cut and re-weld it. If it’s too short, we build it up or add material by welding. That’s what we do.
Custom work? A custom shop would knock this out quick.

So this GSX-R (GR71 series) stands a bit too upright? The customer wants it to lean a bit more.

The photo looks straight, but it’s actually leaning in reality. . . .
About 11.85 degrees (compared to international standard?) measured roughly, and I left the gauge as is (don’t want to waste the battery).
If I cut too much at once it gets tedious, so I cut little by little. (Contour)
The saying “cooking is love” (from Sensei Yuki) really hits home.
We’re going to weld it, so I cleaned it up nicely.
The plan for the stand (foot side) is to make a deep bevel and fill it generously with weld metal.
I packed it in solid. Since it’s on the sole side, even if it breaks off somehow, it’s fine. (I don’t think it will break, though . . .)
This job involves attaching and removing the stand many times.

We stripped off all the old paint and applied gun coat. (*´ω｀*)
We bake it thoroughly in a private booth.
The beauty of gun coat is that it must be baked = forced drying = faster finish.
It’s an extremely convenient coating.
Beauty starts from the feet? And handling starts from the feet too?
Adjustable side stands are sold out there, but be careful . . . they can be pretty sketchy.
Watch out for side stands sold as “for ○○” as well.
In the end, I think you need to match it to the individual bike.
When things have been modified or changed, I’m the type who looks at the side stand sole . . .
Rather than what’s attached, how it’s attached matters. Looking at it that way makes things much deeper.
