The Lawson replica’s sticker shock price is still going strong…

The front and rear axle shafts showed no issues.
The wheel runout showed no issues either.
The wheel bearings front and rear are operating smoothly.
The rear disc is thick…that’s the era for you ( *´艸｀)
The brake calipers were overhauled previously and operating smoothly. We skimmed the pad surface.
We degreased and cleaned the brake discs too.
We’ll scrub the chain thoroughly and lubricate it.
There’s no chain stretch or other issues.
We replaced the old tank molding with a longer one.
We clean and lubricate the levers, pedals, side stand, and throttle.
The rear brake shaft is a complicated design…
It’s full analog and has a subtly elegant construction ( *´艸｀)
We changed the fluid.
With bikes from this era, squeezing the lever hard will spray fluid everywhere, so installing a master float is a good idea.
Tube fuses just need cleaning and checking. The battery looks fine too.
We’ll remove the muffler for the oil change.
Surprisingly, fully fixed mufflers can be tricky to remove because of the under-tube routing.
Using a rubber plug or something similar to tension it makes single-person removal and installation much easier.
It doesn’t get too dark—it looks like this (*’▽’)
After that, we’ll do a test ride and we’re done～
