Bandit 1200 FCC Clutch Replacement Rear Master OH Pad Pin Installation

One thing after another, the parts are taking forever to arrive (;∀;)

When I order on Sunday“The wholesaler places orders on Monday”
If the wholesaler doesn’t have it in stock
“Ships Wednesday, arrives Thursday”or“Ships Thursday, arrives Friday”

With shipping costs involved, it’s really hard to balance things out.
One little mistake like forgetting to order an O-ring can push things back a whole week…

So that’s how we proceed~(*´ω`*)

It has quite a bit of character to it.
Well, I’d say it’s in pretty good condition(*´ω`*)

The body is“bare aluminum”so that’s a huge help!

Honda Tool Part Number: 07914-SA50001

Honda genuine special tool.
Well, it’s not really that special, just “has longer legs”
It’s only used when disassembling the master.

Low frequency of use/lack of versatility = special tool
But special tools are really important, you know.

The condition was nice and clean.
Looking at it, the return port seems like it might get a bit clogged…
You can see it.

Comparing new and old, you can clearly see the used one on the right is“sagging”.
The cup umbrella is also closed
and everything is puffed out overall.

Back in this era, the“boot/clip/cup kit”all came as ASSY
When everything is packaged together like this, it can be convenient.
*Depending on the price though… it gets problematic when it’s expensive

The return port is usually 0.5MM or less.
Gently work it with your hands so you don’t break the micro drill

Gradually prying it open is the sure way.
Sometimes air won’t clear it, so be careful.

The body came out with a wet blast finish that looks better than new.

Inspect the piston and then it’s just assembly.

And that completes the rear master(*´ω`*)

The pad pins need two cuts each, so I scrapped that plan midway.

(;・∀・)Here are the tools I introduced this time~
