By the way, the “750/1100/1200” ONLY oil-cooled engine: which one to buy?

We’re leaving out the 400, 600, and 1400 models. When I really think about it,

there are actually a lot of bikes with oil-cooled engines out there. So I started thinking: if it were me now, which one would I buy?

For 1200, it would definitely be the Inazuma 1200.

The Inazuma 1200 is a 1200 that’s been quite detuned, resulting in a gentle, easy-to-ride model. To unleash the true performance of the oil-cooled engine,
you need time and budget. *It’s fine as-is, but it’s a model with room for customization and enjoyment.
If you want to enjoy performance in stock form, the GSF1200 is the only choice!

Personally, I like the ability to change the character and the dual shocks, so if it were 1200, I’d go with the Inazuma.

The toughest choice is the 1100. I wish they’d say GSX1100G!

For 1100, it’s a two-choice situation.
Either the GSX-R1100J (88) or GSX-R1100K (89).

This is the G model.

The image shows the G model. I actually quite like the early 18-inch GSX-R, but…
there’s a high chance that almost no original parts remain.

In the worst case, you might only use the fairing, frame, and engine, or parts might be unavailable due to supply issues.
In every sense, it’s THE classic bike! So it requires a certain amount of passion to own.

The 1100K with a 4.50 rear is lovely.

The wheels are slim, and the wheelbase is short at 1440mm (L~N models are 1465mm).
*The GSF1200 is even shorter at 1435mm.
It’s a nimble, light-handling machine. The tire selection is a bit limited, but these slim tires are quite rare.

Once you experience them, you’ll think, “This is so easy to ride!”

Riding it with the early-style fairing might be the quickest route. That’s what I’m thinking.

For 750, it’s the J. The short stroke of the J feels really good.

That’s an instant answer. Definitely the GSX-R750J. That’s what I’d say.
Recently, the number of units has decreased, and what was once a mass-market bike has quietly become a luxury bike.

By the way, not long ago, used GSX-R750RK models were mostly under 1 million yen.
The RK had the image of a 700,000-800,000 yen bike.
The J had the image of a 200,000-400,000 yen bike, which is the mass-market positioning. The GSX-R750J also has the same slim 4.50-17 wheel size.

This is personal preference, but I like sizes around 150-160. With 18 inches, a 3.5 rear is fun.

GERUGA

The GSXR750J with an early-style look might be a neo-classic that covers all bases. That’s what I’m thinking.
It comes with 17-inch wheels from the start and 43mm forks. The rear suspension layout is also conventional.
It’s a very simple machine with few special mechanisms.

What about the GSX750F!
I found myself thinking how cool those perforated discs look.
Just a random thought about oil-cooled bikes (*´ω`*)
