Product Overview
The “TORNADO 1200 Bonneville,” which debuted in 1987 as Yoshimura’s first complete machine, was created as one answer to the “ultimate motorcycle,” incorporating all the tuning know-how cultivated in TT-F1. The hand-bent Bonneville titanium muffler mounted on this machine adopted titanium, which was still rare at the time of its market introduction, and through Yoshimura’s traditional hand-bending technique’s elegant curves and Duplex structure (*), it significantly enhanced the machine’s performance.
In 2010, this muffler was limited-production reproduced to recreate the specs of that time, and during the one-month order period, orders far exceeded expectations. And now, it has been revived in an evolved form.
Quality
Yoshimura’s expertise is poured into each hand-bent cyclone. Every manufacturing process—from pipe bending to cutting to welding—is carefully performed by skilled craftsmen, creating a fully handmade masterpiece.
Design
The hand-bent lines created by skilled craftsmen produce a unique sense of volume. The exhaust pipe and muffler layout is designed with consideration for bank angle clearance, enabling riding that maximizes the GSX-R’s cornering performance.
Sound
The silencer with a straight structure featuring an aluminum cover (φ100-400mm) and titanium punching produces the one-of-a-kind Yoshimura exhaust sound.
Duplex Structure (*)
A cylindrical sub-chamber provided on the exhaust pipe connects the exhaust pipes of cylinders 1 and 2, and 3 and 4, adjusting the exhaust phase. This optimizes exhaust pulsation, improves filling efficiency, and optimizes torque characteristics.
After-Sales Service
The silencer cover and fiberglass can be remade, allowing for long-term use with our support. Additionally, by combining with other custom parts, more sporty and original customization is possible.

This is great news for early GSX-R owners.
With only 20 sets available, it’s a very narrow gate, but I think it’s worth entering anyway.
*Unless you have extraordinary luck, I don’t think you’ll win.
To put it in extreme terms, even GSX-R1100K through N models can have the exhaust pipe installed if you swap the oil pan.
Of course, oil-cooled 1200-series exhaust pipes can be installed.
Whether there are any issues with oil lines or frame contact is something you won’t know until you try.
Naturally, the tail pipe layout will be different, so modification will be necessary.
Taking it to extremes, it’s also possible to install it on Z-series bikes with the same cylinder pitch.
Since this muffler is a racing-type with a slip-fit connection at the exhaust pipe,
you can adjust the slip-fit length and modify it for different exhaust pipe positions or use it on other models.
*However, doing such things will increase costs significantly, so it’s questionable whether it’s practical.
So if you’re suddenly interested, I’d recommend entering anyway.
