It’s a very simple tool.
As you can see, it’s an electric pruning shear, and its cutting power is remarkable—it easily cuts through 40mm wood.
When you’re doing weed cutting, you encounter those things that grow too thick and tall like trees.
This is perfect for cutting such trees.
If you were to fell a 2-meter tree with a hand saw,
and then need to cut it into smaller pieces, the labor involved is quite substantial.
With this electric pruning shear, you can really just snip-snip and cut through easily.
The sharpness is almost scary, so you really need to be careful with your fingers when using it.
For anything 40mm or less, you can cut it right at the base with a solid grip.
Without a scale, it’s a bit hard to imagine, but
it’s one of those tree-like things around 30 to 40 millimeters.
With something this size, just squeezing the trigger cuts it cleanly.
It’s seriously incredible—I’m not exaggerating.
After cutting it down, you can cut it into smaller pieces and let it dry,
and then burn it or dispose of it as combustible waste, which makes things much easier.
It’s also perfect for pruning branches that have grown too long.
I sometimes also cut branches that stick out too far onto the road.
The street trees in front of the shop sometimes jut out nearly 50cm into the roadway depending on the season.
It’s definitely an accident waiting to happen, so I prune them to some extent to keep traffic flowing smoothly—this tool is helpful for that too.

Technically, you could cut it with nippers, but cutting with this electric pruning shear is definitely faster.
It’s also easy to cut things down to a size that fits in a 45L garbage bag, so it’s a really great item.
It’s hard to convey, but the processing after cutting a single branch or tree is actually the harder part.
You need to squeeze the trigger 5 to 10 times per branch.
With a hand saw or nippers, that would be quite tedious.
Since you can really just snip-snip and cut through easily, the work gets done in no time,
so you can volunteer casually—that’s the feeling.
When you have good tools, things are more efficient, so
instead of thinking “I don’t really want to do this,” it becomes “maybe I should do it.”
I personally love tools, so I don’t think this applies to everyone, but
if you use convenient things and work efficiently to save time, you can do tasks regularly,
and I think that’s how you keep things in good condition long-term.
Anyway, if you ever have a chance to cut something, I think it’s worth having one of these.
