Well then, the TPS connector arrived, but… I accidentally ordered the wrong connector for the harness side. Aren’t there way too many similar-but-different parts?? Wiring stuff… it’s a problem.
When I dug through inventory, it actually turned out I had one, so it was a close call for the day.
GSF1200 (import) / Bandit 1200 / Inazuma 1200 / GS1200SS The Keihin-based TPS settings are finicky… the Mikuni-based ones are pretty rough around the edges.
I was wondering where to draw the line for OK, but when I did it properly, I was able to adjust it with the same values as the Inazuma/GS models.
I probably won’t ever do this again.
I built the carb side and then measured with the throttle wide open at 76%… that’s… something.
I prefer to keep it as stock-like as possible
That’s how the connector is now installed.
Installing GS1200SS steps
I need to put the spherical bearings back on the rod. I’d like to adjust the brake pedal so it doesn’t drop any further, but… I’m not sure if I should keep using this… it’s a tough call.
In the end, the shift side had sidestand issues and the brake had so many interferences that it couldn’t be used as-is.
When you ride them back-to-back, it’s naturally faster
It was a completely unnoticed secret tune. This work takes a lot of effort, but in the end, it was a fun project (*´ω`*) hehe
