Last time I made brackets for the aftermarket electrical components
This is roughly how I’ve left it on hold for now.
When wiring gets messy like this you just go “ugh” don’t you?
The best approach is to keep things as simple as possible and make connectors that can be easily attached and detached without overthinking it.
The harness tape adhesive is completely gone
When you touch it, the tape just crumbles and peels off.
That’s just how it is when it’s this old.
There was a brown wire left over inside the original? harness…
I cut it out.
I strip away the tape in any areas that are difficult to route.
With modern materials, you get all three: resistance to chafing, flexibility, and great looks!
I wish reproduction harnesses would look more like foreign bikes too~
This is exactly the kind of material I’ve always wanted!
Braided tubing that you can thread wires through after the fact is truly the best.
I barely use regular braided tubing anymore…

Cutting 5mm and 10mm pieces for the sake of aesthetics
I’m the type who doesn’t want to bundle up and hide unnecessary wire lengths (*´ω｀*).
It’s fine… I just have to do this 20-40 times…
It’s super tedious, but the layout should end up simpler… hopefully.
