I got a parts-donor VM carb too, and we’re moving forward with “acceleration pump equipped” ~
This acceleration pump lever base cracked… what do I do?
No acceleration pump? → It’d be smarter to swap the float chamber to a non-pump version.
But aren’t there a lot of VM carb types?
This base is available as a standalone part… but naturally it’s discontinued, so it’s tough going.
Ideally, if I could get a used one with the acceleration pump… that’s the situation.

With acceleration pump/PS equipped/AS not equipped… I don’t even feel like researching anymore.

The stock VM carb is somewhat tedious to disassemble so I only checked the top and bottom, which was a mistake.
Maintenance isn’t something you can take lightly
The fuel passage is also discontinued… I’m stuck
PMC has released a replacement part, and I’ve ordered that one.
Even if the replacement says it’s for Z1000MK2, I’m worried until I measure it.
There’s a possibility it’s no longer original, or it might differ depending on the production location.
Vintage bikes and custom bikes have lots of mysteries, so caution is needed.
Let me cheer up and try a temporary assembly of the stock muffler
I polished it with chrome polish and it still shines so much… I felt a bit wistful about it.
I feel like some parts are missing, but I just keep looking… and looking.
