The stock cap would’ve been fine, but swapping it out is a hassle…
The stock fuel cap is available,
but “two keys” is just not acceptable to me…
So I’m looking for an aftermarket fuel cap or… that’s how it goes.
The famous Newton brand—
there’s nothing that fits directly… Make one myself? = Too lazy so that’s out.
Amazon has cheap knockoffs, but “gasoline leaks are annoying,” right?
I chose the reliable “Garuda” brand’s “TWM RACING FUEL CAP” instead.
I’ll mention this upfront: switching from the stock hinged cap to a detachable one means you need to set it down when refueling and watch out for dropping it.

Probably? Well, it gets pretty dirty, so I went with black.
Black hides all the dirt and wear… supposedly.

Export models and some emission-controlled models
have charcoal canisters installed, right?
This cap works with those models too.
Most of you with carb bikes won’t need it though.

Well, it’s basically a dress-up part.
You don’t need a key to open it anymore, but… you do need to remove it when refueling, like a car.
If you want to shine and sparkle, go for it.
