“Called a Cow…” Before and After… Japanese Beef? GSX750E Inspection and Maintenance Work

Wow, that’s so cool! (*´ω`*)
You must be quite the gourmet…A real foodie? That’s for sure.

No doubt about it…So what’s the Japanese beef rank, A how many?
It hasn’t been ridden much, but it has plenty of marbling, so the owner wants an inspection done.

First,
we’ll install the Yoshimura USA Series 7 (for GSX1100S).(Tentatively)
The cylinder pitch compatibility is incredibleSuzuki… truly impressive.

It’s really rusty, so I worked on it with a Makita.

Yeah, this is no job for doing by hand.
Makita TD172D Cordless Impact Driver← The current model is 173.

You can use it to protect the frame when removing the exhaust pipe.Cut it to an appropriate length
and just slip it on! Super convenientDon’t forget to remove it after you’re done.

Fix the flange with a repeat tie.

Just by fixing the flange,
“the exhaust pipe won’t get scratched” and “work goes faster.”
A little ingenuity makes the work easier.

Up to this point, it was possible to install it as-is (*´ω`*)

Lately, conversely? This kind of angular machine-bent pipe is rare, so it looks really cool.

MADE IN USA plate looks nice

Is this plate really this high up? I wonder…
Maybe because it’s for the GSX1100S…

Since there’s no modification needed on the muffler side, I’ll just make a bracket and try it out… it might work out well.
The sound test is with this X

The wheel and tire runout looks good.

By the way, I check the tires by hand to make sure nothing is stuck in them.

I also check the wheel size, tire brand, size, and manufacturing date…
2016…

Back in this era,the rear wheel bearings are double on one sideto keep things solid.
I always think the wall thickness for the bearing is pretty thin…
There are often loose wheels, so make sure to check.

The front should be fine. The rear will reach its limit soon.

Front is 310φ and rear is 220φ.

The axle shaft is fine.

The rear caliper operates fine, but…
the rust and corrosion are terrible.

It’s got rust all over it, so I’ll replace it. It’s not visible, but it should work smoothly (*´ω`*)

I’ll replace the grease in the speedometer gear. If the cleaner leaks out, it’ll be a mess, so
don’t wash the main body.Just remove it with a cotton swab.OK.
Well, I don’t think anything will really change, but… that’s what maintenance is all about.

I also cleaned and lubricated the cables. The focus is on the tools ( ´∀` )

I labeled the rear collars withP-TOUCH.You can tell from the shape, but just in case
there’s ever a need to remove them somewhere,

The pads are completely worn, so I’ll replace them.

The β pin is rusty, so I’ll replace it. We have a lot of inventory for these kinds of things…
I want to make even the invisible parts smooth? I’m sure the bike will feel it… hopefully.
To be continued.
