Long time—is V-boost working? V-MAX customer parts swap and Deco-mainte

I’m somewhat impressed by how easy the V-MAX is to service (*´ω`*)

When it comes to V, there’s the VFR
the carburettor area is enough to make you cry.
Especially the VF1000R—that’s really brutal.

Now
looking at the V-MAX from the side…
“Sync the carburetors, please!”
The vacuum nipples and screws are right out there!
Easier than some clumsy inline-four

Well, I probably won’t touch it for a while…

I synced the carburetors.
They’ll get out of sync anyway, so I’m in the “good enough” camp.

With a used bike, start with the fuses!

There’s no dramatic effect.
But
there are fuses from decades ago on there.
Fuses don’t cost much.

When you buy a used bike, replacing the fuses first is a win.
You’ll know where the fuse box is
and your peace of mind goes way up.

If possible, go with the maker’s brand
I only use Stanley or Koito

The stopper ring is rusted.
It might start leaking once you’ve ridden it a bit

An old-school pressurized fork—nostalgic
Kawasaki OEM is discontinued

but Kijima still has it in stock.
If you want to enjoy the original character
it’s absolutely essential

Tools like this get phased out as demand drops.
Having one on hand gives you peace of mind.
