The basics of cleaning are “always and easily” I think that’s important (subjective opinion).
Choosing this type of portable washer product is extremely difficult.
For my use case
・I don’t need heavy-duty use
・As lightweight as possible
・Selectable water pressure
・Neat storage
・Reasonably priced
That’s the kind of thing.
Among all this, I found and got an item with really good balance.

With this type of product, the hose and gun storage becomes a nuisance.
You just can’t store them neatly…
I used to own a Hitachi (now HIKOKI) high-pressure washer.
The performance is excellent
but the hose and gun are always in the way during storage. And they’re wet…
And for my purposes, I don’t need that much pressure
Iris Ohyama Rechargeable Portable Washer is
an item that fulfills all my requirements.
The 8L capacity is important.
There’s a similar product from Company K, which is famous for high-pressure washers.
Considering the design and price, that product is also excellent.
But the tank capacity is only 4L…
By the way, 4L runs out in no time.
Do I really have to refill again?

I really underestimated Iris Ohyama…
The control panel is very simple
Just a USB-C charging port and ON/OFF
No complex features at all, so it’s simple and safe.

Charging uses the universal USB-C. Don’t get it wet.
An important note about this type of product.
Never get this charging port wet…
It will most likely break immediately.
But if you keep the cap on properly, you’ll be fine, so always cap it.
Three modes: Jet, Shower, and Mist
You can easily switch modes by turning the dial.
The jet isn’t as strong as you might think.
The HIKOKI high-pressure washer maxes out at 2 MPA
I don’t need that much output. This Iris Ohyama is 0.7 MPA.
At close range, it has enough power to blow away “crow droppings.”
If you want to spray far, it falls a bit short.
For household use, I think it’s sufficient.
The trigger is simple: squeeze to turn ON, release to turn OFF

When it comes to tools“ease of use is important”.
If taking it out and putting it away is a hassle

How easy it is to use casually is key. In recent years, the convenience of vacuum cleaners has improved dramatically.
I hope “high-pressure washers” become more widespread in the same way.
