TZR250R SP 3XV Seat Cowl Removal Convenience Improvement – Engine Starting Issue Confirmed

It’s a single seat, but… removal is difficult.
I twisted and forced it open with brute strength.
I’m currently consulting on how to improve this (；∀；)

Recently, the rule for borrowed parts is “excluding Suzuki.”
Even if you research it, there’s a high chance you won’t be able to use it next time.

It’s amazing that such a convenient part is available as a standalone item.

This is the receiving side.

The plan is to use this to click and lock it in place.

First, I’ll fabricate a base to mount the seat lock assembly in a position where recovery is easy.
This is where I spent a very long time thinking…

I initially fixed the receiver on both sides to the seat side,
then while deliberating, I ran the bolt through from under the sponge and fixed it.

I adjusted the damper thickness by grinding it down.

Recently, the welding mask battery doesn’t last long.
I’m continuing work while powering it (*´ω｀*)

Now I can suppress left-right wobbling and lock it with a click.
Front side: 2x M6 bolts
Rear: 1x seat lock
Fixed with these.

You can easily remove the tail cowl.
I’ll disassemble it for now since it’s going to be painted.

Please pull this wire by hand~

Today it started with just two kicks.
Bike starting reliability is super important.
