*The basic rule for possessions is: as things increase, I reduce. “I’ll use it someday” almost never happens…
So,
the Makita Cordless Air Pump MP181DZ – this is really great!
I haven’t been using anything else to pump air lately…
Is it a compressor/air gauge killer?
I introduced it the other day.

Just by buying these two items, you finally get it to work properly.
If you didn’t have these and thought “this is garbage”… I’d say that’s almost 100% of people.
There’s something important to be aware of when it comes to air pumps…
・Straight chuck
・Screw-in chuck
It has both of these, which is why it was so problematic.
With a straight chuck, it’s almost impossible to use on bikes. It’s the worst.
And
with the screw-in chuck, when you screw it in, it leaks a little “pshhh”
and when you remove it, it also leaks “pshhh”.
If you don’t mind that, fine, but when you think about why you’re checking air pressure in the first place, you’d want at least the basics to work right.
It would have been great if they sold this as a bike and car attachment.
That pretty much solves it.
This attachment is made by Asahi Industries.
It’s a robust part designed with the assumption that professionals will use it hard.
You can use it with confidence for a long time.
The advantage is that it’s detachable.
The screw-in type is necessary when raising the bead on tubeless tires.
This method is essential in its own way (*’▽’)
And the air gauge readings are almost the same as the Asahi Industries gauge.
It’s very reliable.
With this, you don’t need to drag out the air reel, insert the pump, and move the bike within reach.
Just grab the MP181DZ, insert the battery, and go to your bike or car.
People often say they want this…
If you own both a bike and a car and check tire pressure regularly, I’d recommend it.
If you only check air pressure occasionally, it’s better to stick with getting air filled somewhere else.
It’s half a professional-grade item. If you don’t use it often, it’s just taking up space…
