We’re working on an idea—think it could work?
Limited to aftermarket mufflers with slip-on silencers.
Measurement would be pretty far back (just before the silencer), but it’d still be a good reference.
The method: make an adapter pipe between the silencer and tail pipe, weld a sensor boss to it, and mount the sensor there.
The silencer moves back a bit because of the sensor and the slip-on fit, but it’s surprisingly practical? (Forecast: partly cloudy.)
Maybe I should order another sensor…
Even though the sensor got smaller, it’s still pretty long…
There’s the mounting angle to consider too—it’s a real puzzle (^^♪
