I was doing some research today…
and every part I thought I might want… was discontinued.
Honestly, there’s really nothing you can do about it.
If a bike takes a major hit, there may be many models that can’t be restored with OEM parts.
*With aftermarket parts, you might have options.
69100-40F01 — rear caliper (aluminum piston) for GSX-R1000 K1-2
The body is the same on GSX1400 and others too.
Not that the caliper itself matters much…
69721-40F00 — caliper support for 220mm diameter
Sadly, it’s been discontinued… It was cheap and easy to modify for 220mm, too.
I stocked up on it anyway. (Even though I won’t use it.)
The models using this Nissin caliper are very few in number.
With torque rod might be the bottleneck.
Without torque rod , it’s hugely popular on GSX-R1000 K3 and later, Kawasaki ZZR1400, and others… looks like it’ll have a long life.
Rigid without torque rod is the mainstream now, and I’m planning to go rigid too.
Suzuki OEM parts really disappear fast if you don’t buy them early…
