The recent trend.
The method of inserting and removing the axle to temporarily secure the wheel.
It needs a bit more work, but it’s convenient for removal and installation.



The wear was moderate. Good timing for this.


When replacing the sprocket, it’s good to check the engagement to be safe.


The rear axle runout has decreased… strange.
The caliper support is still in nice condition from the previous polishing, which is appreciated (*^-^*)


Lock nuts and lock washers should be new together.
We remove the factory thread locker and use an applicator type.
When pre-coated, it’s hard to manage torque and tightness, so we do it this way every time.
*Being gentle on the countershaft too…

Cleaning is minimal wash oil with a brush scrubbing.
At the very end, we use parts cleaner lightly.
Relying less on parts cleaner reduces waste and feels more eco-friendly.


Applying thread compound to rust-prone areas is subtly effective.

If you bend the lock washer in two or more places, you’re all set (*’▽’)

Daido (DID) also released black versions (quite a while ago)
It doesn’t show dirt as much as plating, so it might be good…

The GS1200SS had iron pistons.
Switching to aluminum pistons greatly improves operation and frees you from rust.
Suzuki parts can be discontinued or expensive, so using Kawasaki ones works well.
Something like the ZZR1400 was like that…

We changed the engine oil to Shell Advance Ultra 4T 15W-50.
Looks like you can get novelty items with an impression!
