GSX1100S Inspection + Front maintenance + Inner tube replating

The replating and polishing creates a crystal-clear finish with quality that surpasses new.

That’s really something to be grateful for, isn’t it? (*^-^*)

We’re making steady progress.

Let me just confirm this. It doesn’t budge at all… that’s amazing…

It’s best to make sure rod bolts slide in smoothly.
These kinds of bolts are becoming discontinued at an alarming rate. What do people do when they strip one??

I seal fluorine grease into the oil seal lip.
You might get smoother action and better leak resistance. Fluorine grease Molykote

Now I can check the spring rate with a spring tester.
It came out to 7.5 N/mm. That’s really helpful… (*^-^*)

After vacuum bleeding and oil level adjustment, the fork OH is complete.

We were planning to replace the stem bearings, but the condition was good so we reused them.

The aftermarket stopper was loose too, so we tightened it and applied Loctite.

We sealed in Neutech NC100 grease and got nice, responsive steering.

Check first, check second. Let’s make sure everything assembles smoothly as we go.

The axle shaft is fine too.

It’s good to clean the speedometer gear too.
Some people slather grease all over it from the outside, but… I don’t see the point…

We cleaned the underside of the fender nicely too (‘ω’)ノ

A frame stand really is convenient… I’m pretty sure it would be a product that sells well…
