I fabricated four pieces like this.
Since I wasn’t sure how much tension to apply when pulling, I made the base solid as well.
This time there’s almost no weight reduction—it’s a robust design made from SUS304 stainless steel at 2mm thickness, so it’s heavy but should be very durable.
When you want to use the cargo hook, pull it up like this. Note that this is a friction-type mechanism, so it’s quite stiff.
The seat opener has been relocated here.
Since it would be a hassle to remake it, I reused the existing one.
I’m extracting the dash cam bracket from the license plate mounting bolt—a new sensation in action.
Since I need to avoid the tail light and license plate light illumination, it extends a bit further back. I’m constantly exploring dash cam mounting options.
